Our Philosophy
At British American Auto Care, Inc. we strive to provide you with the very best automobile service and repairs. We have built a reputation for honest, high quality auto service from the smallest oil change to major repairs. We have achieved this by following the Automobile Service Association’s (ASA) ethical guidelines and by employing the best ASE Certified Technicians. We support our technicians by providing a safe, modern work environment, the latest equipment, and the best training available.
Our philosophy is to encourage and educate automobile owners on the benefits of preventive auto maintenance.
Our goals are:
- To continue to be Howard County’s finest auto care facility.
- To keep on top of new trends and new ideas in customer service.
- To continue to provide a happy and safe work environment and a friendly place for you to bring your vehicle.
Our History
Brian and Jennifer England opened British American Auto Care in 1978. Their goal from day one was to offer high quality, honest auto repair service. Upon this premise they have developed British American Auto Care into the community leader it is today.
Their initial plan was to offer quality service for British and American vehicles, hence the name British American Auto Care. They now offer quality service on most automobile makes and models on the road today -- Asian, European and American cars, including the newer hybrids and electric cars.
In 1978 they had one apprentice technician and 1,500 square feet. Today they have nearly 20 employees and 13,500 square feet in their own custom designed, state-of-the-art facility. As well as housing 18 service bays and modern offices, the facility boasts a large, clean, comfortable customer lounge, with a special children’s play area.
As President, Brian takes an active role in ensuring that the vision of unparalleled customer service flows throughout every facet of their operation. In order to ensure this, British American hires employees who embrace this philosophy. His deep concern for the environment has led him to implement several environmentally friendly practices at the auto shop from recycling to energy saving lighting in the shop. Additionally, his dedication to providing a safe, enjoyable, "knowledge based" workplace has led him to be a pioneer in implementing training, healthcare, and flexible hours for his staff. He and Jennifer also take time out to spend with their family and particularly their three grandchildren.
Jennifer and Brian's daughter, Sandi Weaver, serves as General Manager of the auto shop. She obtained her designation as an Accredited Automotive Manager from the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) back in 2007. In fact, Sandi and Jennifer graduated from the AMI at the same time. Jennifer now works part time with primary responsibilities for the bookkeeping side of the business.

British American Auto Care has been recognized time and time again not just as Howard County’s Finest Auto Repair Facility, but also as offering the best customer service of all the auto repair service facilities in Maryland, Delaware and Washington DC.
It's British American's leadership team and dedicated staff that make it all possible.
