A Groupon Day in the Auto Repair & Services Business

At just after 5:00AM this morning British American Auto Care’s third Groupon jumped onto the screens of thousands of Groupon followers in the Baltimore area. The staff of British American Auto Care had been eagerly awaiting this for days knowing that we have an exciting day ahead of us.
And what’s a Groupon day like? Well, we all watch the number of purchases climb; at each milestone the news spreads around the company. The excitement is infectious! Everyone wants to know “Where are we now?” The website hits go through the roof and the phone calls are non-stop as we answer the questions of dozens of new customers.
This is the new era of inbound marketing; this is about customers buying a great deal on car repair services. They get a chance to try one of our auto services at a good price, and we get a chance to show them what we do.
And then there is the Groupon company, innovative, sharp, young, fun, friendly … and it attracts customers that are nice too. Their company philosophy is pretty simple: “We treat our customers the way we like to be treated”. It’s a great match for us here at British American Auto Care because hey, that has been our company philosophy since 1978.
